Course intel
The classic two laps at Roth: rolling Franconian countryside, with the wall of spectators on the steep Solarer Berg as the signature image and short climbs like Kalvarienberg in between. Fast roads and big crowds make it easy to overcook it; keeping the intensity down on the first half-lap is the old rule.

Rolling terrain is where you overspend without noticing: 20 extra watts on every little rise adds up and empties your legs for the back half. Let power touch the top of the range on the small stuff and leave it there.
