IRONMAN 70.3 Türkiye・Belek: 90 km bike leg, 96 m of climbing. Elevation profile, what the terrain asks of you, the weather this race day usually brings, and how to pace this course.
Course intel
Resort course at Belek, east of Antalya: start from The Land of Legends and follow the smooth multi-lane main road towards Expo 2016, two laps of 35 km plus a short section in and out. Almost no climbing the whole way, the only rises are a few overpasses, and official total elevation gain is about 80 m: a classic ride-one-power-to-the-finish flat race, decided by aero drag and nutrition rhythm. Early November on the Mediterranean coast is comfortable, with sea and land breezes on the coastal plain, so hold your power into the headwind and relax with the tailwind. The road is wide and busy; keep right and let faster riders pass safely.

The terrain on this course
- Flat (±1.2%) makes up 98%
- No significant climbing: what matters is handling the wind and holding your power steady
Speed score
The wind here is part of the terrain: ride the headwind sections to your range, not to the speedometer, and in crosswinds relax your upper body and stay low. The plan already has wind in every segment, so just ride the numbers.
Historical race-day weather (around 11-01): 18.5°C · Wind 2.9 m/s
0 to 100, and the higher it is the easier it is to post a good time. Points come off for terrain, for corners, and for the heat and wind this race has actually had over the last five years at the same time of year. Full explanation in the article “How the course score works”.
